I made it!
I finished writing my thesis and handed it in four mintues before the dead line. It was a close call!
I wrote 46 pages (about 12,000 words) though requirements were 30 pages.
Completely exhausted myself with it, I did not want to do anything over the weekend. Anyway, as my graduation in next March was secured, I AM HAPPY!
I wrote about the necessity of "auditory training" for Japanese EFL learners to improve their auditory perception wider enough to listen to correct sounds of Enlgish. One of the major reasons why Japanese people cannot listen to correct sounds of English is the auditory problem cuased by spoken Japanese. However, training thier ear muscles by stimulating frequency filtered music is effective to imporve thier ear. Especially, the music of Mozart is effective.
I examined the "Tomatis Method" developed by Tomatis, a French ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) doctor as a method of ear training, and introduced a case of a Japanese senior high school which has been conducted the method as a study of Super Enligsh High Schools (SELHi's) pilot project. Moreover, auditory training for junior/senior high school or colloge language laboratory use, and for elementary school use were suggested using the theory of the Tomatis Method.
It was really hard to finish my paper, but I learned a lot of things through my study.
