Merry Christmas!

I found this Christmas story on Snopes.com.

The modern Santa Clause figure is NOT created by Coca-Cola.

It was derived from "St. Nicholas the elf-like gift bringer" and "a frindelier 'Kriss Kirngle.' The man-sized version of Santa became the dominant image around 1841, when a Philadelpia merchant hired a man to dress in "Criscringle" clothing and climb the chimney. Furthermore, Thomas Nast developed his own image of Santa.

However, I love Coca-Cola Santa Clause.
Every year, this time of season, I buy more bottles of Coca-Cola for the purpose of a Santa ornament attached to them as a free gift.
